New to Thermomix and not sure where to start? Or maybe you’re stuck in a recipe rut? These Cookidoo® favourites are on constant rotation in my kitchen and for good reason! From quick and easy weeknight dinners to batch-cook essentials, slow-cooked comfort meals and even homemade bread and desserts – there’s something for everyone in this list.

Homemade Pantry Staples

Homemade bread, butter and strawberry jam
Nothing like freshly baked bread lathered with homemade butter and strawberry jam!

Once you start making from scratch, you’ll never go back to store-bought.

  • Thermomumma White Sandwich Bread – A staple in my house! Soft, fluffy and perfect for replacing store-bought sliced bread.
  • Strawberry Jam – You’ve never tasted jam this good – fresh, vibrant and packed with real strawberry flavour. Make sure you grab the recipe that includes apple 😉
  • Chocolate Hazelnut Spread – So much better than store-bought Nutella! Rich, creamy and made with real ingredients – no additives or preservatives!
  • Mayonnaise – Fresh, creamy and made in minutes – store-bought just doesn’t compare!
  • Tandoori Paste – You’ll wonder what’s actually in store-bought versions once you try this!
  • Veggie Stock Paste (or any stock paste!) – A game-changer! So many recipes use homemade stock paste as a base, which is why Thermomix meals taste as incredible as they do.
  • Taco Seasoning – One time, I ran out of my homemade version and had to buy supermarket packet… Let’s just say, never again. The difference is huge!

The list for this one could go on and on, you can make tomato/BBQ sauces or your own spice blends. You can mill your own caster and icing sugar, make your own butter or alternative milks… The possibilities are endless!

Quick & Easy Fakeaways

Sesame Orange Chicken served with rice is as if you’ve gone down to your local Chinese Restaurant – but better!

Who needs takeaway when you can make better at home? These meals come together quickly and taste just as good, if not better than your favourite restaurant options.

  • Sesame Orange Chicken – A delicious fakeaway option that’s packed with flavour and perfect for a fuss-free dinner.
  • Quick Massaman Curry – A rich, fragrant Thai-inspired dish that brings big flavour in minimal time. Try making your own Massaman Curry paste to really experience the flavour this dish brings.
  • Bun Kebab – If you’re a fan of doner kebabs, this one is for you! Whilst the recipe makes a burger patty, I sometimes omit the egg and breadcrumbs and leave as cooked minced meat and serve in wraps as you would a doner kebab. The meat smells and tastes exactly like doner meat except without all the processed meats, additives/preservatives! You’ll have your house smelling like your local kebab shop!

Layered Cooking & One-Pot Wonders

Let your Thermomix do the hard work with these all-in-one meals that maximise flavour while keeping things simple. Set your Thermomix to cook and walk away.

  • Lemon Rosemary Chicken & Rice – The ultimate in layered cooking! The flavours infuse beautifully, making this a go-to weeknight dinner.
  • Risoni with Salmon & Spinach – A creamy comforting dish that’s quick and versatile. Sometimes I swap the salmon for prawns for a delicious twist.

Comfort Meals & Slow Cooks

When you’re craving something rich, hearty and soul-warming, these recipes hit the spot.

  • Pork in Creamy Marsala Wine Sauce – A luxurious, velvety sauce paired with tender pork makes this an epic comfort meal. You can serve with mashed potatoes, rice or even use it as a pasta sauce.
  • Tunisian Beef Ribs – If you love slow-cooked dishes, this is a must-try! Packed with bold flavour and melt-in-your-mouth flavour. I’ve even used the left overs as a ragu for the next day using warm up mode, de-boning the beef ribs and letting the Thermomix shred the beef.

Batch Cooking & Meal Prep Favourites

Whilst this Meat Sauce is a long cook, it’s exactly how the Italian’s make theirs and the taste really shows!

These recipes are lifesavers for busy days! Make a big batch and enjoy multiple meals with minimal effort.

  • Meat Sauce (Bolognese) – Makes enough for 3 family meals! I freeze the extras and pull out the night before. One out of the three, I freeze into smaller portions, great for those days you need a quick lunch option for your kids! It is a longer cook, but one you can walk away from – totally worth it!
  • Chicken Meatballs with Creamy Tomato Sauce – Great for prepping ahead; serve with pasta, rice or even in a sandwich!

Sweet Treats & Desserts

  • Banana Bread – Why pay $6 per slice at a cafe when you can make your own for just 33c per slice? This easy and delicious recipe is not only budget-friendly but also lets you enjoy fresh, homemade goodness with simple pantry staples!
  • Honey Icecream – Hands down, the best ice cream I’ve ever had in my life! Creamy, smooth and naturally sweet, it’ll have you coming back for more.
  • Fruity Dream – One that I am sure you have experienced at a demo, but this makes for a quick healthy and impressive dessert when you have unexpected guests over or a quick treat for the kids after dinner. All you need is frozen fruit and a a couple of pantry staples
