What’s New with the TM7?

The TM7 comes with some exciting enhancements over the TM6, including:

• A bigger 10” touchscreen (compared to the 6.8” screen on the TM6).

Considering the TM6 vs. TM7? Here’s What You Should Know

If I were buying my first Thermomix® today, the TM6 would be a strong contender – especially with the current offer. Here’s why it might be the right choice for you.

TM7 Availability & Pricing

Pre-orders for the TM7 open on April 3rd, but it won’t be dispatched until July (now early June). Here’s where it gets tricky:

• The TM7 is expected to sell out during pre-sale. If you wait until July to order, you could be waiting months for your Thermomix® to arrive.
• Unlike the TM6 bonus bundle, the TM7 doesn’t come with any extra accessories – just the TM7 and a 3-month Cookidoo® subscription.
• The price difference? Only $70 between the TM6 and TM7.
• There’s no confirmed date for when accessories and second bowls for the TM7 will be available, but we’ve been told they won’t be right away.

What About Those “New” TM7 Modes?

Here’s something important to consider: two out of the three new TM7 modes can already be done with the TM6!

🔹 Steaming Mode – The TM7 has a preset steaming mode, but with the TM6, you can do this manually using a steaming guide that lists the exact times for vegetables, fruits, and meats based on quantity. Plus, there are plenty of recipes that already incorporate steaming.

🔹 Browning Mode – The TM7 includes this as a dedicated mode, but guess what? The TM6 already does this through recipes with built-in browning steps! You can easily find guided recipes that brown chicken, beef, pork, onions, mushrooms, and more.

So really, the only major differences between the TM6 and TM7 are:

• A larger Varoma
• A bigger screen
• An integrated slider-foot
• An insulated bowl cover
• The new black design
• A quieter motor

And don’t forget – TM6 updates will continue for at least 5 years after the last sale, and servicing will be available for 10 years!

Final Verdict: TM6 or TM7?

If you want the best value and the most bang for your buck, the TM6 is the way to go. With all the bonus accessories, a second bowl, and an unbeatable deal, it’s a no-brainer.

If having the latest model matters to you and you don’t mind waiting for accessories, then go for the TM7. Just be prepared for possible delays and limited availability.
